Aftercare Advice

Botox®

  • Avoid massaging the treated area for around 4 hours after treatment.
  • Use of the treated facial muscles will help the Botox to be absorbed effectively and is encouraged.
  • Avoid lying flat, excessive bending or stooping for 2 to 4 hours.
  • Avoid make up unless mineral based for 12 – 24 hours, to reduce the risk of infection.
  • Avoid the gym or excessive exercise for 24 hours.

Dermal Fillers

  • Avoidance of Saunas, steam rooms and solariums and extremes of temperatures is advised for 2 weeks following treatment.

Lip Enhancement / Augmentation
  • Avoid cold and hot drinks until full sensation has returned to the lips.
  • Make up should be avoided for 6 hours.
  • Cold compresses can be used but ice packs should be avoided.
  • Saunas, steam rooms and solariums should be avoided for a few weeks after treatment.

Chemical Peels
  • Avoid getting water on the treated area for the remainder of the day.
  • Do not wash the face until the next day.
  • Avoid metal on the treated area for 48 hours such as jewellery.  
  • Use the appropriate skin care regime as advised by your Doctor.
  • Avoid muscle relaxing injections and fillers for 6 weeks.
